Jonathan is a music producer and recording engineer through his company, Moxam Studios. He has recorded many commercial projects, as well as producing his own music for theatre, film, and other commercial clients. Clients include OpenBSD.org, Steve Pineo, Firebelly Theatre, Theatre of the Living Statue, Danielle French, The Rembetika Hipsters, The Plaid Tongued Devils, Iain (Fred) Smith, and others.

As a freelance musician, clients include Russell Broom, Mike Shields, Crystal Plamondon, Danielle French, Steve Pineo, Kaley Kinjo, Iain (Fred) Smith, Chantal Vitalis, and many others.

Special Musical Skills: Improvisation in many styles, including but not limited to jazz manouche, balkan, greek, turkish, country, and western swing. In September 2010, he traveled to Greece to study the traditional music of Greece's most northwestern province, Epirus.

Starting from a very early age, he was instructed in classical violin, viola, and piano, as well as high school studies in clarinet, trumpet, and percussion. Jonathan was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, 1990 & 1991. His post-secondary education includes two years at Mount Royal University Conservatory, studying viola with Nick Pulos. Since 1993, he has been involved in a number of musical ensembles, including, but not limited to:

The Plaid Tongued Devils (gypsy rock)
The Fedora Club (jazz manouche)
The Rembetika Hipsters (greek traditional)
Klezmerovitz (klezmer)
Red Venus Blue Tango (world)
The Hackamores (western swing/country)

With these bands, Jonathan has performed across Canada in every direction. Additionally, he has toured Western Europe multiple times with The Plaid Tongued Devils, and in Greece with The Rembetika Hipsters. Additionally, The Plaid Tongued Devils and The Rembetika Hipsters have both recorded on several occasions for CBC Radio.

Jonathan also performs frequently as a freelance musician, sometimes solo, and sometimes with other artists.
